I’m so inflamed! I Treasure the unique Mulan, and I was hoping this would be half as agreeable as the first. It wasn’t even that.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Mulan II! Click Here

First of all, the music is poor and the animation lacks the romance, vision, and lope of the recent. The unusual team worked hard with their concepts, which was clear. Whoever made made this…did not.

Second, the express talent was severely lacking this time around. Even the characters who ended up with the same dispute actors sounded a bit flat. Like the actors were rushed or as if they fair didn’t really care.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Mulan II! Click Here

Third, everyone seemed out of character! Not impartial their speech patterns, but in some cases their movements, manner, and ENTIRE PERSONALITIES were fair…severely diminished or entirely changed. These are not the characters I fell in like with! At all!

Fourth, everything was disgustingly predictable. Gee…Mulan’s three male friends are looking for wives and unbiased HAPPEN to benefit guard the three resplendent princesses? Golly…WHAT WILL HAPPEN? DUH. Can we say formula-written? The whole tale was honest…disappointing and derivative.

Fifth, I found it insulting to musty Chinese culture. Objective because our recent Western culture does not contemplate highly of or participate in arranged marriage doesn’t mean it didn’t happen, or that it wasn’t popular THERE. In fact, it is composed widely practiced in many countries, and you know what? It often works out! It was a fraction of peoples culture, unruffled IS a fraction of peoples culture, and ISN’T improper. I found this movies’ villifying of arranged marriage and all who participate in it to be very insulting and typical “our USA scheme is the BEST arrangement and the ONLY blueprint, and everything else is Gross”. I hope they never showed this movie over in China, or else I’ll be very embarassed for the USA.

Sixth…ugh, nevermind. I don’t even want to mediate about this poor movie anymore. They should have left the Mulan series as a single movie - the one that retold the unique fable. But, being Disney, they unbiased HAD to add a crappy sequel and capitalize on the astonishing unique movie.

The only reason this got 2 stars instead of one? Although the scene at the bridge has been done a million times over and is NOT unique at all, it was well-done. Brought a glide to my inspect, I admit. But it was a cheaply gained plug, because I’ve seen the same scene in 92752375 different movies.

DO NOT gape this movie if you savor the fresh and don’t want your vision of it faulty. This movie is crap.

The tale of Mulan II begins with Mulan thinking about marrying General Shang… which upsets one of Mulan’s spirit guides (Mushu) so noteworthy that he decides to sabotage their relationship. Mushu is terrified that he will be demoted if Mulan goes through with her plans to marry General Shang, because tradition calls for the wife’s spirit guides to lose their pedestals in the household shrine at the time of marriage, meaning that they would then be subordinated to the husband’s ancestors. The narrative moves benefit to Mulan and Shang, who are asked by the Emperor to provide righteous passage for the Emperor’s three daughters across China, so that they can be married to three princes in order to bring peace to China. Mulan and Shang proceed with three trusted soldiers, who plunge in savor with the princesses in their care… as Mushu begins his plans to smash Mulan and Shang up. Mulan II is beefy of jokes, songs, and an principal message about following your heart. My celebrated allotment of the film was one of the opening scenes, in which Mulan describes the importance of yin and yang in a aesthetic song and dance number. This is a fun family movie, with entertaining special features, too.

Ok before I inaugurate, let me account for something: Unlike the reviewers before me, I have actually SEEN this movie, so my review is not based on the graphic unique of which the movie is based, nor what the movie might be like based on who’s tedious the making of it. I HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE. Now that thats out the plan, onto the expedient stuff.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Superman/Batman: Public Enemies! Click Here

I know a lot of Batman, Superman, and Batman/Superman fans were holding their breath on this one. With all classic the DC Amusing character movies coming out lately (some of them not as expedient as others) it was reasonable to choose that “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” the movie could have gone either draw. Well grand thing for the right fan horrible, this was definitely a hit. I can say I am more then gay with how this came out, and I have every draw of buying this DVD and watching it again the day it comes home with me.

One thing is abundantly obvious when watching this movie: WB Entertainment, and more importantly, DC Comics actually LISTENS to their fans. One of my (and others) biggest fears in this was that we were going to be hearing some sub-par jabber acting for the main characters eager, i.e. Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor. As with past offerings from WB Entertainment (”Superman: Doomsday” for example) we got some dilapidated casting for the voices of Lex and Sups. That alone detracts greatly from the overall enjoyment of the movie. With Public Enemies however, we have the best voices ever cast for the starring 3 roles: Tim Daily as Superman, Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. For those who could give two flips about these guys, they are the same voices from the accepted shows Justice League Unlimited, Batman The Captivating Series, and Superman the Spicy Series.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Superman/Batman: Public Enemies! Click Here

On top of kindly relate acting, the animation is crisp, racy and objective humdrum handsome. Again, faithful to fan feedback, the artists from Justice League Unlimited seem to have had their hands in this project, because the art is aesthetic noteworthy the same (which is by no means a dreadful thing), and it looks immense. Almost straight from the laughable.

Speaking of which, as far as the yarn goes, withhold in mind while watching this that its an adaptation to the humorous. That being said however, the movie stays remarkably faithful to the record told in the amusing. Minus a few altered frames, scenes and situations, its like reading the humorous all over again, except with no imagination needed to appreciate it. The account in general is a very profitable one, highlighting Batman and Superman’s friendship and giving you a peek into how deep it really goes. Granted, you net more of that in the droll then you do in the movie, but the movie compensates for the lack of inner dialogue with estimable script writing, chunky of the droll exchanges between Sups and Bats and emotional moments and outburst we know and esteem from our celebrated caped heroes.

This is a sizable movie, and you don’t have to have read the droll first in order to indulge in it. Even the review value is moderately high, I can and WILL be watching this again as soon as I can, and some more times after that. This is worth stamp, grab it and like a motion describe work of art.

Peace

So I watched Superman/Batman:Public Enemies twice in one day after I got it. And I will hold this review short as most of the main points have been hit by the people who reveiewed this already (at least the ones that waited till it came out) . So here’s my shatter down and the kill will be final comments.

STORY:

It was adpated from Jeph Loeb’s first arc on the ongoing silly. Savor it or disfavor it, but it was a very faithful adaptation, streamlining something that was basically a position up for the subsequent arcs as well as Infinite Crisis. It was droll, and balls to the wall, and the only gripe I had was not explaining why the Robot was a better choice than Luthor’s missles (Retort, robot was made of Metallo, not the guy, the alloy.) But hey all and all I liked what they did.

Characters (whine and portrayal) :

WHOA! Okay I read the comics and almost forgot the laundry list of vilains who advance out the cracks for the bounty. Batman and Superman were pitch perfect and their banter was colossal after seeing them so serious with each other all the time in Justice League and JLU. Tim Daly returning for Superman was expansive to have, though I’m one of the few that feel George Newburn’s performance as the character is objective as grand. Kevin Conroy and Clancy Brown however are the quintessential Batman and Lex Luthor respectively. Props to getting CCH Pounder to return as Amanda Waller even if the charatcer model looked horrendous. Lastly the supporting charatcers were mountainous. However I wonder why so noteworthy fuss was made about LeVar “Reading Geordi LeForge’s Rainbow” Burton as Sunless Lightning when he had one line. Killer Frost was a throwaway villain that had more to say. *Sigh* Wasted talent.

ART AND ANIMATION:

Again based on the source material, the art style took a muscular turn and was fully mimicing Ed McGuiness’ style where every male looks like a “Masters of the Uninverse” figure. I personally cherish his style and always though it would translate well to the veil. I was mostly proper. They made Superman eye too young, and I mediate it’s because of the eyes. McGuiness does the squinty examine better than most, and we eye this in Captain Marvel’s fabricate, and in the comics Superman has the same recognize sometimes. That plus the cheekbone line makes him spy a bit older. Well probably out of anxiety of backlash (last time they save lines on his face people said he looked too aged, and in “Doomsday” he looked even older) they elft those lines out and he looks too young. Everyone else in my concept looked elegant. Okay Powergirl’s eyes bugged me too but I was distracted by something else.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I liked it. It was a astronomical action flick, and didn’t need too worthy character development. It’s Superman and Batman, if you don;t know who they are why are you even picking up te movie. It’s a buddy flick with wall to wall action. My biggest hiss is it felt rushed. At 67 minutes it’s like 15 minutes shorter than previous releases and could have really benefitted from them. That said if you like the characters and you like action this is worth it.

AFTERTHOUGHT:

The preview for the next upcoming fascinating feature, Jusitce League: Crisis on Two Earths was stout. Yes I know after Public Enemies going support to unusual voices will suck but they got some satisfactory ones. Designate Harmon makes a fine suited Superman, I’m on the fence for Billy Baldwin as Batman (needs to be grittier), James Woods does an amazingly devious and crooked Owlman, and Gena Torres was vast as SuperWoman. Hope you delight in!

Amazon has the erroneous titles in the boxset listed. The titles included in this are:

GODZILLA, KING OF THE MONSTERS (which is 2 DVDs) ; GODZILLA RAIDS AGAIN; MOTHRA VS. GODZILLA; GHIDORAH, THE THREE-HEADED MONSTER; INVASION OF ASTRO MONSTER; Dread OF MECHAGODZILLA; and ALL MONSTERS ATTACK

All of the titles except TOM & All Monsters Attack have been released separately prior to the inclusion in this collection, so if you do not have any of them this is a spacious grasp!! On the other hand if you are like me and have all the titles already and were awaiting TOM & AMA to be released separate I understand they will only be released (as of now) in this collection, for only that reason I give this release 4 instead of the 5 stars it should salvage.

Without a doubt, Classic Media has done a ample job presenting Godzilla the design he should be on DVD. They’ve previously released 5 of the gargantuan guy’s flicks with both American and current Japanese edits in their widescreen glory along with some decent bonus material. The plight is two Godzilla films are currently only available in this position. It’s been reported on a few posting boards that they will be released early in 2008. Capable news for those of us who have been rabidly buying each title as they’ve been released, but it would have nice if they were keep out at the same time as this state. For those who haven’t dipped in the Godzilla pond yet, this is a big package if you luxuriate in these kinds of films.

First of all… The movie is quite respectable, with astronomical performances from Robert Duval, Tom Flee, and Nicole Kidman. The film has immense racing footage (with a few inconsistencies) and is all in all, a favorable movie… Now let’s talk about the DVD… This is one of the best sounding DVD’s that I’ve ever build in to my home theater! The sound in the 5.1 surround sound will absolutely have you looking around for the bustle car!!!!! As “Cole Trickle” first gets in the car at the vacant raceway, test driving “Rowdy Burns’” car, you will absolutely be beside yourself!! The sound is unreal! You will care for this DVD fair for the fact of showing off your home theater to friends! The narrate has a few flaws, but nothing too noticable! (mainly aspect ratio) That’s what gave it the 4 stars instead of 5. Lift this DVD for your theater… You won’t be disappointed!!!

This is a titanic movie for any Nascar fan. Design definite you totally disregard the “editorial review”

“With Days of Order, director Tony Scott tried to do for the Indy 500 what he did for the U.S. Air Force with Top Gun.”

Days of Direct tried to do for the DAYTONA 500, what he did for the US NAVY in Top Gun, Anyone who can’t secure that just, should not be reviewing movies..

It is very arresting about this season 5 Ranma 1/2. The series has been improving in tale, character designs from one season to the next season. Needless to say, the tale is hilarious. The character’s action, gesture, speech are the icons of Takabashi Rumiko sen sei’s animation. From Urusei Yatsura in the 80’s to some latest works, her skills are praised and even imitated by other creators.

I unexcited remember when I started getting this series for the first time at first I opinion it would turn out to be a slow comedy with no likability, and how ghastly I was as this series turned out to be truly inviting and amusing to search for. The series is very light hearted as the main characters are Ranma a young teenage boy martial artist who had the sad accident while training in China to plunge into a cursed pool at jusenkyo that turns him into a girl when dosed with chilly water and can only change assist with hot water, and Akane a young teenage girl martial artist whose father is the master and owner of a martial arts dojo and is Ranma’s betrothed fiancee which neither Akane or Ranma knew that their fathers had situation up. Of course sparks sail between the two betrothed at first and not esteem sparks especially when Akane at first thinks Ranma is a girl(Seeing him in girl accomplish when they first meet) and than realizing what has happen to him after Ranma’s father explains about the accident. The series of course has a gaggle of other characters trying to woo Ranma and Akane to them and some of those characters have themselves been cursed by the pools of jusenkyo. The video is decent but not as exciting and determined as original animes have been but that’s a runt understandable as this series started around 1989 and finished around 1996 so most of the animation won’t be as up to par as with the animes in the past ten years. The thunder cast for both the subbed and dubbed are spacious and memorable in their roles as they played them incredibly of course the one major change was the male snort of Ranma was changed in season four so if you have the previous three season sets you’ll of course inspect that one dissimilarity but no worries as that doesn’t build that mighty of a dissimilarity. So if you’re tired of the dramatic and serious anime and are looking for a more light anime here’s a stout choice to check out for you home anime library…

I bring perhaps a different perspective to this film since I was closely keen in Italian affairs while at the U.S. Area Department in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Many of the characters’ names were familiar to me and I met a few of them personally including Andreotti himself as Foreign Minister and Prime Ministers Fanfani, Craxi and Spadolini.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Il Divo! Click Here

That said, I found this film more allegorical than illuminating. I did delight in it especially visually, and the portrayals of the physical Andreotti and his laconic philosophical above-the-fray long-range perspectives and utterances and his quietly sardonic style were magnificent. And those ears! A broad make-up job. Plus I enjoyed the refresher course in the Italian language. I could follow considerable of the film without the captions.

Beyond those aspects though, the film was too allegorical and hard to follow. And if it was so for me, I would imagine it would be even more so for the general American audience and even for many younger Italians. Unruffled, the rich visual imagery and cinematography brought attend to me many memories of Italy itself from my service in her and about her at the Status Department.

“Il Divo” is fresh breed of biopic, a mixture of fact and fiction, whose power is in its visual and auditory style rather than in story. The subject is Italy’s seven-time Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti, who was associated with every major political scandal in Italy for 50 years, frequently accused of abolish and mayhem, and rumored to be the upright master of the P2 Masonic Lodge. Some acquire him responsible for many of the 236 political murders that occurred in Italy between 1969 and 1984. Writer/director Paolo Sorrentino focuses on the early 1990s, from the beginning of Andreotti’s seventh government in 1991 until his trial in 1996, during which time he lost a disclose to become President and was undermined by Mafia turncoats who testified against him.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Il Divo! Click Here

Roger Ebert described “Il Divo” as “like a murky comedy version of The Godfather”. I can’t consider of a more righteous description. This is satire, though many of the events of the film actually happened. Andreotti (Toni Servillo) is almost a comically absurd character, in spite of the violence, and speaks about himself with an ironic tone. This is all the more astonishing because Giulio Andreotti is serene living. The Italian political system is portrayed as farce. Andreotti is a laconic man, enigmatic and apparently self-consciously so. He is known for his lack of emotion, so Paul Sorrentino felt the need to introduce some into a character that might seem wooden otherwise. Andreotti’s preoccupation with the 1978 death of Aldo Moro, which troubles him in the film, is fictional as far as anyone knows.

Being curious with Italian politics, I don’t know what else has been fictionalized. What captivated me about “Il Divo” is that it is unusually cinematic. There is not a lot of dialogue, though Andreotti’s meetings with the members of his faction, the fast-talking Paolo Pomicino (Carlo Buccirosso), dull Vittorio Shardella (Massimo Popolizio), and foolish Franco Evangelisti (Flavio Bucci), are darkly hilarious. The film lacks a strong yarn thread but is visually enchanting. Luca Bigazzi’s camera creeps around. The eclectic find is perfect. I was never definite what Giulio Andreotti wanted, unless it is “perpetuating base to guarantee suitable”, as he says, and “Il Divo” takes patience. But this is a pleasing and thoughtful film, even if it doesn’t try to go anywhere. In Italian with optional English subtitles.

The DVD (MPI 2009) : Bonus features include 11 deleted scenes (12 min) and 3 featurettes. “Making of Il Divo” (30 min) interviews writer/director Sorrentino about his advance, members of the cast, producers, cinematographer Luca Bigazzi, and composer Teho Teardo. “Special Effects Featurette” (7 min) interviews visual effects supervisor Nicola Sganga and shows some examples of effects traditional to change the weather, time of day, or in the many death scenes. In “Interview with Director Paolo Sorrentino” (12 min), the director talks about the character of Andreotti and making a film that is both fictional and right. English subtitles are available for the film and the bonus features.

Season three: How can the cast of Buffy even hope to top the fine second season? Well, for starters the very first episode is vast. In “ANNE”, unexcited hurting from the events that occurred at the extinguish of season 2, Buffy tries to forget her past and lives in another town working a waitress job until a girl recognizes her and asks for her befriend. Buffy realizes who and what she is and returns to Sunnydale, where the Scoobies have been filling in for the Slayer’s absence. Then there is the addition of a fresh Slayer, Faith (Eliza Dukshu…remember her in Fair Lies? All grown up!!) who appears in Sunnydale as a much ally for the Buffy and the scoobies. This is short-lived though, as she soon becomes one of their greatest threats. The foreshadowing of plotlines in the second season become apparent as this season’s villain is introduced…none other than the mayor of Sunnydale, who is attempting to ascend into a true/pure demon.

This season boasts many of the show’s strongest episodes such as “The Wish”, where Cordelia unknowingly makes a wish to a vengeance demon (Anyanka, who becomes the Anya we all fancy to laugh at later) and wishes that Buffy never came to Sunnydale. This episode is colossal, as we search for an alternate reality where Buffy left California and never stopped the Master from rising and as a result, he succeeded in opening the Hellmouth. Truly one of the better episodes. We also are given a taste of foreshadowing in later episodes…Buffy’s sister Dawn (to advance in season 5) is mentioned in a glimmer of dialogue that will remain meaningless until two years later (can you gain the episode? Hint…listen to both Faith and Buffy talk in the later epsiodes) . Faith is terrific as Buffy’s nemesis, a Slayer honest like her. Oh, did I mention Angel returns from a hell dimension as well?

The scoobies procure their acquire star time as well. In “THE ZEPPO”, Xander proves that he is more than unprejudiced the dilapidated section of the group, adept at getting them donuts and not grand else. In “THE WISH” and “DOPPLEGANGLAND”, we net to view a Vamp Willow…very spellbinding and two of the season’s best episodes. This season also brings us more of the Watcher’s Council, the mysterious group that Giles works for including Wesley, who later leaves to relieve Angel and Cordelia in Los Angeles in the spin-off prove Angel. And finally, we come by to watch the Scoobies graduate in a very typical Sunnydale fashion…with a mammoth battle. It was hard to top season two, but this season is more of Joss Whedon’s masterpiece of television; let people and critics shun it…we all know huge TV when we study it.

While many people claim that Season Two is the best season ever of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I favor Season Three instead. It features the introduction of fan favorites Eliza Dushku (as Faith, a renegade Slayer) and Emma Caulfield (as Anya, ragged “patron saint” of scorned women) as well as a keeps-you-guessing storyline. Season Three is also the most consistent season - there are no “stinker” episodes like Season Two’s “Dreadful Eggs” or Season Four’s “Beer Poor.”

This site contains all 22 episodes of the first season. They are:

“Expressionless Man’s Party” - Buffy’s attend, but not all is legal. She’s level-headed expelled from school, and her friends have some serious repressed enrage that’s objective waiting to burst out. And then there’s the zombies that fracture her “welcome home” party…

“Faith, Hope and Trick” - Eliza Dushku (Bring It On) appears as sexy unusual Slayer Faith, whose camaraderie with Buffy’s friends makes her a bit jealous. It also features the introduction of Mr. Trick, one of the funnier (and one of the few dim) characters to appear on Buffy.

“Beauty and the Beasts” - Angel’s serve from Hell slightly feral and werewolf Oz may have been getting out of his cage during the paunchy moon. When there’s a series of brutal murders, Buffy and Willow have to deem the possibility that one of their boyfriends is the culprit.

“Homecoming” - One of the funniest episodes of Buffy ever, along with “Doppelgangland” (explore below) . Buffy and Cordelia are in a no-holds-barred hasten to become Homecoming Queen. But they’re soon in stout peril when Homecoming coincides with Mr. Trick’s unique tremendous game event, Slayerfest ‘98.

“Band Candy” - Another hysterically humorous episode, in which a batch of magically enhanced candy makes all the adults in Sunnydale act like irresponsible teenagers - including Giles and Buffy’s mother Joyce.

“Revelations” - The Scooby Gang has found out about Angel’s return, and are not elated with Buffy for keeping it a secret. And Faith’s unusual Watcher, Gwendolyn Post, arrives in Sunnydale.

“Lover’s Rush” - James Marsters returns as a lovelorn Spike, who’s lost Drusilla to a Chaos Demon. When he kidnaps Willow and Xander, and forces Buffy and Angel to work together with him, you know badness is going to ensue…and it does in a heartbreaking conclusion.

“The Wish” - Exasperated by Xander’s betrayal and her social ostracism, Cordelia wishes that Buffy had never reach to Sunnydale. Dinky does she know that vengeance demon Anya (Emma Caulfield) is there to acquire it arrive honest. Suddenly she finds herself in a world where Willow and Xander are vampires and the Master rules Sunnydale after shaded.

“Amends” - When the ghosts of Angel’s past victims appear to torment him, Buffy must procure out what is doing this. Also, Willow and Oz reconcile.

“Gingerbread” - When Joyce finds two children’s bodies, apparently killed by witches, the town gears up for a massive witch hunt. Buffy and Willow accept themselves caught in the middle of it.

“Helpless” - On her eighteenth birthday, Buffy finds herself losing her Slayer powers. When her mother is kidnapped by a psychotic vampire unleashed by the Watcher’s Council, Buffy must attach her armed with only her wits.

“The Zeppo” - While Buffy and co. stave off yet another apocalypse, Xander finds himself hanging out with a bunch of zombies, saving the school from being blown up, and…losing his virginity!?

“Terrible Girls” - Modern Watcher Wesley Wyndham-Pryce makes his appearance, and Faith shows Buffy a scurry on the wild side that ends in tragedy.

“Consequences” - After the deputy mayor’s death, Buffy and Faith net themselves feeling trapped and terrified. Faith takes a decided turn for the worse, and joins forces with the cheerfully unpleasant Mayor of Sunnydale.

“Doppelgangland” - A spell performed by Willow and Anya brings Vampire Willow from the world of “The Wish” (gawk above) to normal Sunnydale. Hysterically funny; the highlight has to be when Willow masquerades as Vampire Willow.

“Enemies” - Faith shows her good colors when she and the Mayor ask a demon to capture Angel’s soul, returning him to the soulless vampire Angelus.

“Earshot” - Buffy gains telepathy after killing a demon, and hears a death threat aimed at the school’s students. Unfortunately, the ability to hear others’ minds is slowly driving her insane.

“Choices” - The Box of Gavrok, an item important to the Mayor’s Ascension, arrives in Sunnydale. The Scoobies manage to purchase it, but in the process Willow is kidnapped. Close the Ascension, or do Willow?

“The Prom” - It’s prom time again in Sunnydale. But when hellhounds trained to attack people in formal wear are unleashed, Buffy must set aside her plans on contain to close them. Also, Angel decides to wreck up with Buffy.

“Graduation Day, Parts One and Two” - The climactic two-part season finale. When Faith poisons Angel, the only cure is the blood of a Slayer. Buffy goes after Faith, but only succeeds in putting her in a coma. Angel must drink from Buffy to survive. And, of course, the Mayor Ascends into a mountainous snake.

Normally I abominate it when people (including myself) write reviews for DVDs that haven’t even near out yet. But I’m so furious for the 2nd season of Arrested Development to advance out on DVD that I’m going to write one anyway! (Don’t grief, I’ll advance relieve and update the review once I actually bag the DVD.)

This is, in my view, the funniest explain on television. My current thing about this indicate is how it is a “comedy for gleaming people.” If you like expressionless and “easy” humor, then there is probably mild some stuff in here that you’ll appreciate… BUT if you like clever/witty humor, you’ll Appreciate this demonstrate. The more you inspect it, the more jokes you’ll understand and the more humorous the jokes will be. There are even jokes foreshadowing other jokes several episodes down the road (e.g. Buster’s “I never notion I’d miss a hand so noteworthy” when looking at his extinct hand chair in “Amigos”) . There’s no intention you could ever rep everything on your first viewing, and that’s why the DVDs are so substantial.

While the 1st season is astounding, I’d have to say that the 2nd season might be even better. The jokes impartial retain building (so it’s even funnier if you’ve seen the 1st season) . The running storyline of Tobias as an “on call” understudy of the blue man group is broad… even at the kill of the season (well after that anecdote has ended) you can unexcited study blue smudges on everything in the house. The whole thing about Buster losing his hand is hilarious and contributes greatly to my approved episode of the season, “Motherboy XXX” (which has one of the funniest endings I’ve ever seen) . I could go on and on: the Veals, Gene Parmesan, Mrs. Featherbottom, GOB’s wife, Maeby’s job, “Scandalmakers”… it objective never stops!

FOX crop support this season’s modern order of 22 episodes to only 18 (allegedly so they could introduce “American Dad”… but there are even jokes about the reduce, like when the Bluth Company’s order for homes is chop from 22 to 18) . While it’s disappointing to judge we could have had four more episodes, I’m more than willing to trade those four episodes for a whole 3rd season. This is the funniest point to on TV!

Over the past few years there has been worthy talk about the supposed death of the sitcom on network television. And if those preparing to mourn the genre mediate Friends or its ilk to be the standard-bearer, than perhaps they are moral.

But maybe, unprejudiced maybe, with Arrested Development we are seeing the future of the region comedy… and if that’s the case, things are looking up!

Arrested Development isn’t your standard “station up a punch line, yell punch-line, listen to the studio audience yowl” indicate. In fact, rarely is there a location up or punchline, but rather keenly written and expertly delivered dialogue. And rather than the standard “Joey and Phoebe gather stuck in an elevator while Rachel and Monica conception Thanksgiving dinner” storylines, Arrested lets each episode unfold in an intricate and involving manner with humor that ranges from subtle to sublime.

The basic premise? We’re spending time with the Bluth family, who, to borrow a phrase, save the “fun” in dysfunctional. The characters range from maniacal (especially the Emmy-worthy turn by Jessica Walter as matriarch Lucille Bluth) to misguided (perhaps best exemplified by Will Arnett’s desperate-for-attention-at-any-cost Gob) . These aren’t cookie-cutter cardboard characters as you’ll regain on other comedies. Each is a exciting character observe, with flaws and faults and quirks unlike those seen in other television households.

Best of all - and perhaps the main reason to catch the DVD - the exhibit is (gasp) laugh-out-loud humorous and will be whether this is the first or one-hundred-and-first time you belief the episodes.

Comedy, lifeless? Not as long as the Bluth family are around!

LEIA: General Kenobi, years ago you served my father in the clone wars.

These quotes lit a fire under our curiosity, and it burned for nearly 30 years. Now the excitement and anticipation can be happy by…

…the further adventures of cramped orphan Annie!

CLONE WARS boasts entertaining situation dogfights and intense light saber duels. But these things do not manufacture up for where it fails miserably. Nowhere in this movie do we explore the echoes of the gargantuan stories hinted in A Current HOPE. Nowhere do we ogle a camaraderie construct between Bail Organa (”years ago you served my father”) and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Since 20th Century Fox did not release this film (can’t say I blame them), the movie opens with the Warner Brothers logo and without the signature Alfred Newman prelude. There is no written prologue that retreats into the distance of place. The animation is rather wooden. This would have been acceptable had the film been made by a studio with a more slight budget. But it was made by George Lucas who has money coming out of his ears! Financially, there is no reason why THE POLAR Utter should discover better than CLONE WARS. But even VEGGIE TALES looks better than CLONE WARS.

The space of CLONE WARS is that the Jedi are summoned to rescue Jabba the Hutt’s kidnapped son. That is the spot of the movie called CLONE WARS. Can someone please inform me as to what that has to do with the Clone Wars?

Jabba junior who inherits the nickname,”Stinky” is noteworthy more annoying than ewoks and Jar Jar Binks place together. There is even an utterly failed attempt at humor by pointing out that Junior the Hutt made a poopie. (No, I am not making that up.) Which, incidentally, is how we advance at his cute nickname. Jabba the Hutt’s uncle plays a role in the film as well. Ziro the Hutt does nothing to add to the entertainment value of this heap except to get the viewer wonder whether or not he was based on Truman Capote, for there is an uncanny resemblance.

The music in CLONE WARS almost never sounds like any of the scores aloof by John Williams. Sometimes it sounded like a rock band and sometimes like classical Chinese folk music.

I’m sick and tired of people defending ewoks and Jar Jar Binks by saying it’s in there to appeal to the kids. Where have you been the last 30 years? It’s STAR WARS! The name alone has kid-appeal and always has. It has more kid appeal than Fess Parker’s Davy Crockett, for crying out loud. And it had it long before an ewok ever scratched his ear or a Gungan ever ruined a movie. You might as well complain about Sesame Street not having enough kid appeal.

In a word: Stinky.

I’ve been a Star Wars geek since the third grade, and I am now the proud mom of two elementary-aged boys who (like most of their friends, I’m jubilant to say) also cherish the series. Frankly, I sort of wish Lucas had stopped with the three current films which I deem are classic and astonishing. The three newer live-action films left a lot to be desired, I felt, but my boys treasure them all objective as mighty if not more than the venerable Luke/Leia/Han movies I grew up with. With the boys it’s all about the action, and The Clone Wars delivers. We saw the preview to this film in the movie theater, and our whole family of four almost jumped out of our seats. How cold! A well-organized looking cartoon version of the mythical clone wars starring my popular character, the awesome Obi Wan. Of course, we went out to study it on its opening day (along with some other families with Star Wars boys) and the kids adored everything about it. My notion was that it was neat-o, for determined, but clearly not made for adults. Let’s be sincere, this movie is positioned as the set-up to a original cartoon television series, so it basically seems like a slightly long episode of a tv cartoon. But I like the inspect of the series with its shining interplanetary settings and way-cool battle sequences. And being able to perceive Jedi in action is an overdue pleasure. However, questions are raised which are impossible to respond. I, for one, can not report to the character of Anakin as a mentor to a youngling since I know that one day he’s going to cold-bloodedly slay a whole temple beefy of them. My kids even asked me if Anakin is going to waste his padawan one day. Yikes! But if you’ve got kids in the house or a Star Wars collection to add to, you simply have to lift this.
